Core Beliefs

We believe that all people have equal rights and deserve to live in dignity. Our goal is the practical application of Christian love in Greece and abroad, through humanitarian and philanthropic work, offering personal and material help to those in need.

We believe that all people deserve to know the truth of the gospel and we work to share it. We accept the Creed set forth at the first two Ecumenical Councils (Nicaea 325 AD, Constantinople 381 AD) and approved by the fourth Ecumenical Council (Chalkidona 451 AD). The Creed (or "I believe") is the doctrinal summary of gospel truth regarding orthodox belief in the Triune God (Father, Son, Holy Spirit), the incarnation of the Son, and God's plan for mankind.

Creed of Faith

  1. I believe in God the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth,
  2. and believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
  3. who was conceived from the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary,
  4. who suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried,
  5. descended into hell, rose again from the dead on the third day,
  6. ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty,
  7. who will come again to judge the living and the dead.
  8. I believe in the Holy Spirit,
  9. the holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints,
  10. the forgiveness of sins,
  11. the resurrection of the body,
  12. and the life everlasting.

Amen.
