Smiles like this one brighten our days and give us strength to continue to give generously to those in need. This child visited our Pediatric Clinic, was examined and received a free vaccine. His mother, originally from Sierra Leone, arrived at our clinic especially downcast that day because her application for asylum had just been rejected. Aware of the challenges that refugees face every day in their struggle for survival, we were glad that we were able to offer a "helping hand" to this family that day.
